Ages 6-10 One Week Camp "Learning the Basics"
During
1 week sessions, our trained staff will provide a balanced programme of
activities which will tempt and encourage newcomers to camp and excite
and challenge those returning. Campers will explore and develop their
skills through role playing, games and exercises which are
fun, challenging and always imaginative. They will learn to express
feelings, mime actions, express ideas which in turn allows them to take
on roles apart from self. They may also develop more patience,
self-confidence and skills in self expression. Most of all they will
have fun in a safe and happy environment. There will be a performance
in the Fire Hall Theatre at the end of each weekly session and the
children will preform in a short piece showcasing their many talents.
Ages 10 -13 Two Week Camp "Love the Acting"
During these
2 week camp sessions the campers will spend their time acquiring more
advanced skills for on stage work. They will practise audition skills,
work on monologues, do more intensive work with a partner and small
groups to develop characters. There will also be concentrated work on
short scenes that will involve character study, movement and mime, voice
and teamwork. Music and visual arts will round out the programme. At
the end of each 2 week session there will be a showcase performance in
the Fire Hall Theatre.
Ages 13+ Four Week Camp "Theatre Intensive"
This
one month programme is ideal for graduates of the 1 and 2 week sessions
and is open to other older campers with enthusiasm, focus, and
additional theatre experience. It will focus on honing, polishing and
extending already learned skills. There will be on stage as well as
behind the scenes learning opportunities to be learned in these sessions. As with
